IA 53 Mamboretá Role Agricultural aircraft Manufacturer DINFIA First flight ca. 1965 Number built 2 The DINFIA IA 53 Mamboretá (Guaraní for "Praying Mantis") was an agricultural aircraft developed in Argentina in the 1960s. It was a low-wing cantilever monoplane of conventional configuration with fixed tailwheel undercarriage. Accommodation for the pilot and a single passenger was provided under a broad bubble canopy. Two prototypes were constructed, but no production ensued. One of the aircraft is preserved at the Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica in Morón, Buenos Aires.
