Mohan Sithara, is a leading malayalam film music composer in Kerala. He is very much talented in making super hit songs. He won Kerala State Award for applying music for the songs in Priyanandan's "Sufi Paranja Kadha". Since 1986 he is an active musician in malayalam film industry. He is talented in putting Western, Classical and Folk styles in his songs which attracts more audience to hear his songs. He has worked with famous Lyricists or poets like ONV Kurup, Yusafali Kecheri, Sreekumaran Thambi, P K Gopi, Kunjumoitheen Kutti, Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, Rafeeq Ahmed, Rajeev Aalunkal, S Ramesan Nair, B R Prasad, Vinayan, Bharanjikkavu Sivakumar, Anil Panachooran, Vayalar Sarath Chandra Verma, Gireesh Puthancheri, Bichu Thirumala etc. Almost, every singers had been part of his songs namely Yesudas, P Jayachandran, K S Chithra, Sujatha, Madhu Balakrishnan, G Venugopal, M G Sreekumar, Vidhu Pratap, Afsal, Manjari, Jyotsna, Sheelamani, Biju Narayanan, Priya R Pai, Poornasree etc...

Biography

Mohan Sithara was born at Peruvallur, Thrissur, Kerala, India in 1959. He was interested in music , he had become an expert violinist. He started his music career as violinist in some music troupes, in those one was Sithara troup. Later he got the chance to be the violinist with former leading music composers like M G Radhakrishnan, Shyam, Perumbavoor G Raveendranath etc. He has done orchestratio for the film Thoovanathumbikal with Perumbavoor G Raveendranath, the songs were super hits. His first work as independent music director in the malayalam film industry was the film Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare (One to Xero), for which he made the famous song Raree Rareeram Raro (was first song for G Venugopal also). The director T K Rajeev Kumar gave him a chance under Navodaya banner. He joined with Padmarajan to set background music for the film Innale in 1989 which was too hearty music.

Personal Life

He was married to Baby and has two children, One Girl & One Boy. His eldest child Mobina sung some song of him and now she is a House Wife and Son Vishnu is a growing Music Programmer, he has already done some albums and assisting in orchestrations.
