Controversy
The town briefly made national news in 2004 when school superintendent Shirley Moger refused to allow students to wear shirts bearing the town's centennial celebration motto, "Climax - More than just a feeling.",[citation needed] which may be a reference to orgasm.[original research?] The motto for the town's centennial was picked following a contest.[citation needed]
