Personal Experience

The town's motto was recently changed a few years ago to "Along the Fox" and this phrase was displayed on a welcome sign on either side of town on Church Street and Millington Road. The signs have since been taken down due to significant fading and replaced with metallic signs that simply announce that you have entered the town.

The graveyard is vast and populated with over 3,000 people. It is located at the top of the hill right before you exit town towards Newark. It is named simply "Millington-Newark Cemetery".

The town boasts a few local businesses including Last Chance Saloon, Millington Auto, and Fox Paintball. It also has its own post office and park. The town park sits on land that once surrounded the operating school. Now this building is used as the town hall where town meetings take place along with other public events. In the past few years, Millington has expanded across the Fox River. Belle Riv subdivision is home to several homes.

The town used to have a theme song that would be sung in elementary school: "The potatoes they grow small in Millington. The potatoes they grow small in Millington. The potatoes they grow small and we pick them in the fall. Oh, the potatoes they grow small in Millington." They also used to sing another song in school called "The Sunny Always Shines in Millington."
