Head coach Fritz Buehning Championships 2005 The New York Sportimes is one of nine teams currently competing in World TeamTennis (WTT). Since 2010, the team has been based at Sportime Randall's Island, New York, and plays its home matches at Sportime Stadium.[1] From 2003 through 2009, New York played its home matches at the 2,000-seat venue at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck, NY.
The NY Sportimes play in the Eastern Conference of the WTT Pro League. Originally known as the New York Hamptons, the franchise has been competing in WTT since 2000, becoming the New York Sportimes in 2003.[2] The Sportimes won the 2005 World TeamTennis Championship, defeating the Newport Beach Breakers 21 to 18, and are also currently the defending Eastern Conference Champions.
