Copper is a reddish brown color that resembles the metal copper.

Copper penny is one of the colors in the special set of metallic Crayola crayons called Silver Swirls, the colors of which were formulated by Crayola in 1990.

The color name Kenyan copper for this dark tone of copper has been in use since 2001, when it was promulgated as one of the colors on the Xona.com Color List.

- Amerindians are often referred to as being copper colored or copper-skinned.[8]
- Arizona is known as the Copper State.
- Copperopolis is a town in Northern California.
- The Copper Canyon (Spanish: Barranca del Cobre) is a canyon system in the Sierra Tarahumara in the southwestern part of the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.
- Copper kitchenware is popular, mostly because it is convenient because it heats up faster, but some like to collect it just because they like the color.
- The 7th wedding anniversary is called the Copper Anniversary and one is expected to give gifts made of copper to a couple celebrating that anniversary. By extension, the 7th anniversary of any important event can be called the copper jubilee, although this term is seldom used.
- In the song Maria Magenta on the 1973 album Cosmic Wheels, Donovan calls Maria Magenta my copper go-go girl.
- Copper was an emo or emocore band based in Buffalo, NY in the mid-1990s.
- Copperhead is a name used by a number of different music bands.
- Copperheads were Northern Peace Democrats who opposed the American Civil War, wanting an immediate peace settlement.

- The Copper Age or Chalcolithic (Greek khalkos + lithos 'copper stone') period (also known as the Eneolithic (Aeneolithic)), is a phase in the development of human culture in which the use of early metal tools appeared alongside the use of stone tools.
- In Vajrayana Buddhism, it is said that in Nirvana, the pure land of the buddha Padmasambhava is located on the copper-colored mountain.[9]
