It is known for paddy fields and corn crop besides mango gardens. Water availability for irrigation is fairly adequate. Pedda cheruvu, voora cheruvu, venkata reddy cheruvu, and other ponds feed the paddy fields. Some of these ponds get water from Nagarjuna Sagar. Sivalayam in the village is ancient. The Sivalayam Tirunala festival is very famous in the region.[citation needed]
