Prodduturu

Prodduturu is a village in the Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is one of the "Reddy"-dominated village in the district. The village is 20 kilometers away from Vijayawada City and 5 kilometers from Kankipadu (Mandal HQ). In former times the people of this district made their living primarily through agriculture, and now many are involved in real estate. It is also a leading producer & exporter of Chicken & eggs. The village has facilities including primary and secondary schools, a health center, a post office, panchayat office, a water tank and bus service from Vijayawada. The village features three temples, one of Lord Siva and two of Lord Rama. Some well-known family names in Prodduturu village include: BOTTA, Bhimavarapu, Alla, Tamma, Donti Reddy ,Kattukolu, Yarlagadda,Eda and BOMMU,JONNALA.
