"Miss You" is an R&B ballad written by Teddy Bishop. It was a previously unreleased song on Aaliyah's first posthumously released compilation album, I Care 4 U (2002) and released as its lead single during the first quarter of 2003 (see 2003 in music). The song reached number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and entered the top 10 in Germany and Taiwan. "Miss You" also reached the top 20 in Canada, Denmark and Switzerland.

The song appears on the game Karaoke Revolution Volume 2.

Rapper Jay-Z made a tribute to Aaliyah using the "Miss You" instrumental and chorus, this is the official remix. Season Muzik made a remix with 2Pac's "I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto" verses with "Miss You" hooks

Reception

Slant Magazine called the single "Aaliyah-lite".[3] MusicOMH.com called the single the best new song of the album as well as stating "poignant lyrics ... mix well with a thoughtful, reflective, laid back tune."[4] Allmusic—while mentioning the single with the song "All I Need"—said that they "don't have the edge of her classic Timbaland productions, but they stand up well — even when they're slotted next to the best songs of her career."[5]
