Nibra (Bengali: নিবড়া) is a census town under Domjur police station in Sadar subdivision of Howrah district in the Indian state of West Bengal.^[1]

Nibra is located at 22°37′N 88°15′E / 22.61°N 88.25°E / 22.61; 88.25^[2]. It has an average elevation of 10 m (33 ft).

Demographics

As of 2001^[update] India census^[3], Nibra had a population of 22,288. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Nibra has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 69%. In Nibra, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
