Mungaoli is a town and a nagar panchayat in Ashoknagar district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Geography

Mungaoli is located at 24°25′N 78°06′E / 24.42°N 78.1°E / 24.42; 78.1[1]. It has an average elevation of 372 metres (1220 feet). it is a centre of India. It is a peaceful town.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census[2], Mungaoli had a population of 19,536. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Mungaoli has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 58%. In Mungaoli, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
