Chikrand (Bengali: চিকরণ্ড) is a census town in Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is under Chanditala police station in Srirampore subdivision.^[1]

Demographics

As of 2001^[update] India census,^[3] Chikrand had a population of 8352. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Chikrand has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 74% and female literacy of 65%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
