Controversy

Even though a court hearing was going on against many collages who got this status the management began admitting students into the university seats and increased their tuition fee. On march 5th 2010, 44 of these deemed to be universities were blacklisted by the UGC after an investigation stating they lack the standards to be declared as a university.
On march 8th 2010 the 2nd semester students who were under the university management blocked-off a bridge which was the only way for vehicles to enter the campus on protest against the collage. They demanded that the collage authority assure them that their 4yr studies wont be wasted. The management agreed to the students demands and the protest ended without anyone getting injured. Till date the court hearing to be removed from the blacklist is going on
