Kanniyakumari district in theIndia n state ofTamil Nadu .The town use to be a resting place during Travancore Maharaja period. There is a chathiram (Free lodge) and occupied by businesses now. A small Ram temple was built on the place called Nandavanam (Garden of flowers).
It is a junction and people from surrounding villages flock here. The town is very close to Kanyakumari and the famous Vattakottai and Maruthuvaz malai( Herb living hill) are nearby. The very old Government fruit farm and the weekly farmers market (Thali Aruthaan Chanthai) is also nearby.
