Miss América Latina 1992 was the ninth international edition of the Miss América Latina contest, and the eleventh overall. The final event was held on November 12, 1992 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. At the conclusion of the pageant, Ana Sofía Pereira of Nicaragua was crowned by outgoing titleholder, María Elena Bellido of Peru. [1].

- Argentina and Ecuador both placed for the third consecutive time.
- Argentina matched its highest placement ever.
- Paraguay and Spain last placed in 1989.
- Colombia, El Salvador and Venezuela last placed in 1990.
- This was the only year Guatemala didn't participate.
