Galócás— Commune — Coordinates: 46°55′N 25°26′E / 46.917°N 25.433°E Country Romania County Harghita County Population (2002)[1] 2,656 Time zone EET (UTC+2) – Summer (DST) EEST (UTC+3) Gălăuţaş (Hungarian: Galócás) is a commune in Harghita County, Romania. It is composed of eight villages: Dealu Armanului, Gălăuţaş, Gălăuţaş-Pârău, Nuţeni, Plopiş, Preluca, Toleşeni and Zăpodea. According to the 2002 census, the commune has 2,656 inhabitants, including 2,010 (75.68%) ethnic Romanians, 575 (21.65%) ethnic Hungarians, 66 (2.48%) Gypsies, and 5 ethnic Germans.
