Cope, 1862The Chaco Treefrog (Hypsiboas raniceps) is a frog species in the family Hylidae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Paraguay, and possibly Peru. In Spanish it is known as rana arborea meridional ("southern treefrog").
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, rivers, swamps, freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, urban areas, and heavily degraded former forest.
