Marco's Franchising, LLC, known to consumers as Marco's Pizza, is a restaurant chain and interstate franchise based in Toledo, OH that specializes in Italian-American cuisine. It was founded by Italian immigrant Pasquale "Pat" Giammarco in 1978. More than 200 company-owned and franchised Marco's Pizza locations are in operation in eighteen U.S. states and the Bahamas.[1]

Information

In 2007, Marco's Pizza moved from 31st to 30th largest pizza chain in the United States, with 158 locations and $77,250,000 in sales.[2] As of 2010, it ranks among the top 25 pizza chains in the United States. [3] Marco's Pizza is currently listed among Marketing Quarterly's Top 25 Pizza Chains. The business operates locations in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin, as well as the Bahamas. For 2007, they posted an overall 6% sales growth rate, 12% for company-managed stores, and planned to open fifty to sixty new stores over the course of 2008. Marco's Pizza plans to operate at least 500 locations, covering most states, by 2010. More than 900 new Marco's locations have been signed, which means the company will quadruple its store count in the coming years. Certain store locations are available with online ordering and payment.
