Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, also known as Monty Tech, is a vocational school in Fitchburg, Massachusetts which teaches 20 different trades. The school includes a child care center. It also includes a performing arts center named after former Superintendent-Director Stratos G. Dukakis[1]

The school is operated by the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District, which is made up of 18 nearby towns. These towns are Ashburnham, Ashby, Athol, Barre, Fitchburg, Gardner, Harvard, Holden, Hubbardston, Lunenburg, Petersham, Phillipston, Princeton, Royalston, Sterling, Templeton, Westminster, and Winchendon.

Extracurricular Activities

Robotics Team

Monty Tech is home to a FIRST Robotics Team; Team 562 known as S.P.A.R.K. The team consists of about 30 kids, with the majority of them being Monty Tech students. The team has been registered with FIRST since 2001, and has participated at the BAE Granite State Regional every year since then.[2]
