In addition to the island of Taiwan, the country includes Lanyu (Orchid Island) and Green Island in the Pacific off the Taiwan coast, thePescadores in theTaiwan Strait , andKinmen and theMatsu Islands off the coast of mainlandFujian . The island groups of Taiwan and Penghu (except the municipalities ofTaipei andKaohsiung ) are administered asTaiwan Province of the ROC.
