Martins Heron railway station is a railway station in the suburb of Martins Heron, Winkfield on the eastern edge of the town of Bracknell in Berkshire, England. It is on the London Waterloo-Reading line, between Ascot and Bracknell. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by South West Trains

History

British Rail opened the station in October 1988 and it is one the most recent stations on this largely Victorian line. It is next to a Tesco supermarket, and was built as a precondition for the supermarket to be built in conjunction with the then Berkshire County Council.

The ticket office is open only in the mornings. Platforms, in common with most stations on this line, accommodate eight carriage trains. Entrances are found on both platforms, although only Platform 1 (towards Waterloo) has a ticket office with Platform 2 (towards Reading) backing on to housing and open green space.

Services

Martins Heron is served by trains from Reading to London Waterloo, which operate every 30 minutes Monday to Sunday, with additional peak services increasing frequencies to about every 15 minutes in the evening.

It takes about 55 minutes to reach London Waterloo from Martins Heron, and 20 minutes to reach Reading.
