Neo Souli had a population of 665 in 2001 for the village. Neo Souli is in the municipality of Patras since the late-1990s. Neo Souli is connected with the road linking Patras. From 1836 until 1940, it was part of the municipality of Panachaia.

Geography
Souli is situated in a valley area that has several settlements around. The Panachaiko mountains lie to the east and are forested in the northern, the eastern and the southern parts, the rest of the area are hilly and are made up fo farmlands. Its main production are fruits including watermelon, melon, figs and vegetables including corn, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, cucumbers and others as well as dairy, livestock, olives and others. The majority of the population are based in other businesses as well as agriculture. It is located by the two rivers, the Glafkos and the Diakoniaris in which flows from the Panachaiko. The new settlement of Souli was administered from the 1960s after a large sinking which flowed into Old Souli and moved its inhabitants to lower elevations near the city of Patras. The new settlement of Souli is approximately 15 km from the city centre of Patras. Residential and other buildings are within the main and farm roads. Houses were stone-built until the 1950s and did not surpass modern-style homes until the 1980s. It was linked with pavement in the 1980s

Neo Souli is famous for its music festival, the People's Dance Festival and it first began from the Neo Souli Cultural Councin in 1993. The continuation for the spot in the festival was greatly famous, even in the later years, it moved from the majority of local cultural events and it removed as one spot in which it didn't brought onluy the dancing countil of Achaea, other in the Greek state. The festival had for several times brought in dancing councils and teams from Corinth (Stimagka), Argos, Messolongi, Tripoli, Laconia, Kalamata, Megara, Agrinio, Corfu, Volos, Thessaloniki, Lefkada, Katerini, Serrs, Drama (Petrousa and Kali Vryssi), Ioannina, Aridaia, Naxos, Crete, Naoussa, Skyros, Kozani (Lefkopigi) and many other areas other than the famous Athenian dancing unions. It remain even it changed its chief, as long as the strong better and quality presentation of dancing council and it brings in, other than the management of the spot. In that way with the spot of the festival receives the chance of the aperture on planning between the music council from several areas of Greece. The festival occurs during the last weekend of July with free pass.
