History

A bypass of GR-9 opened in the late-1980s with an interchange, and began construction of a by-pass of Patras after that. In around 1990, a bridge was built, the opening was not until 2002 and then the starting point of lampposts installed in 2001. In 2002, the interchange was under construction, and shortly after disconnecting southbound traffic for one month, the beltway opened. It also disconnected traffic to Vrachnaiika for about half a year until it was repaired. It passes on the western part of the community and now forms a communal boundary of Roitika with the boundary of the municipality of Vrachnaiika and up to Paralia.

Geography

Mintilógli is situated around 30 m above sea level, and up to 100 m above sea level. The northern part is flat with olive groves and pasture land, but the central and the eastern part is covered with hills and small mountains. It is used to run through a road linking GR-9 or E55 and Ovrya named 28os Oktovríou. Residential houses run up to the hill. A view of Paralia and Roitika is seen over the top. There are no industrial buildings. Its nearest train station and the beach is in nearby Roitika. The community includes a school and a church.
