NY 204 NY 206

New York State Route 205 (NY 205) is a state highway in New York, running from near the city of Oneonta to the town of Otsego in Otsego County. NY 205 is a two-lane highway its entire length and passes through Hartwick.

The original southern terminus of NY 205 is at the northern terminus of its concurrency with NY 23. It was extended southward to I-88 exit 12 in 1970.

In the town of Otsego, NY 205 turns right to overlap NY 80 for its final 2.1 miles (3.4 km), ending at NY 28.

History

NY 205 was assigned as part of the 1930 renumbering of state highways in New York. It originally began at NY 23 northwest of Oneonta and ended at NY 80 west of Cooperstown.[1] NY 205 was extended southward to Interstate 88 exit 12 on January 1, 1970, and extended east along NY 80 to NY 28 in the early 1970s.[3][4]
