County Bihor County Population (2002)[1] 3,153 Time zone EET (UTC+2) – Summer (DST) EEST (UTC+3) Remetea (Hungarian: Magyarremete) is a commune in Bihor County, west of Romania. It is composed of five villages: Drăgoteni, Meziad, Petreasa, Remetea and Şoimuş.

The nearest town is Beiuş, around 10 kilometers to the south.
Population
The commune has a population of 3513 inhabitants.
According to the 2002 census the population structure is:
- Hungarians 80.58%
- Romanians 16.52%
- Gypsies 2.79 %
- Others 0.11 %
The percentage of Hungarians is higher in Remetea village.
