Nowgaon is a city and a municipality in Chhatarpur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Demographics

As of the 2001 India census[1], Nowgaon had a population of 33,024. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Nowgaon has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 65%. In Nowgaon, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
