Nantwich railway station, which was opened on 2 September 1858, serves the town of Nantwich in Cheshire, and is on the Crewe to Shrewsbury line. It has two platforms and was formerly the junction for the Great Western Railway route to Wellington via Market Drayton until 1963.
The station is primarily served by the two-hourly Crewe to Shrewsbury stopping trains, although a few longer distance workings between Manchester Piccadilly and Cardiff Central (and beyond) also call (mainly at peak times). There is an infrequent service (five trains each way) on Sundays.
