The main station building is the original (dating from the opening of the line in

Passengers have little shelter available when the main building is closed and seats are only available on the Manchester bound platform, which has recently had a shelter installed. The station is staffed on Monday to Saturday mornings. At other times you must buy a ticket from the conductor on board, all railcard fares are valid. There is a car park outside, and the area is being developed for housing.Notes
