  • Johnny Pesky, at 92, is the oldest living major league manager; he was manager of the Boston Red Sox in 1963-64 and 1980.
  • Alex Monchak, at 94, is the oldest living major league coach; he coached with the Chicago White Sox (1971–75), Oakland Athletics (1976), Pittsburgh Pirates (1977–84) and Atlanta Braves (1986–88).
  • Chet Hoff, a pitcher for the New York Yankees and St. Louis Browns, is the longest-lived major leaguer. He died in 1998, aged &10000000000000107000000107 years, &10000000000000132000000132 days.
  • Silas Simmons, who played in the Negro leagues, is believed to be the longest-lived baseball player in history. His year of birth is disputed, but he was at least 109 and possibly 111 at the time of his death in 2006.
