Robert Leroy Kuzava (born
May 28 ,1923 inWyandotte, Michigan ) was a Pitcher for theCleveland Indians (1946-47),Chicago White Sox (1949-50), Washington Senators (1950-51),New York Yankees (1951-54),Baltimore Orioles (1954-55),Philadelphia Phillies (1955),Pittsburgh Pirates (1957) andSt. Louis Cardinals (1957).He helped the Yankees win the 1951-53 World Series, gaining the saves in final games in both 1951 vs. Giants (Game 6) and 1952 vs. Dodgers (Gane 7).
He finished 4th in voting for the 1949 American League Rookie of the Year for having a 10-6 Win-Loss record, 29 Games (18 Started), 9 Complete Games, 1 Shutout, 3 Games Finished, 156 ⅔ Innings Pitched, 139 Hits Allowed, 76 Runs Allowed, 70 Earned Runs Allowed, 6 Home Runs Allowed, 91 Walks, 83 Strikeouts, 1 Hit Batsmen, 2 Wild Pitches, 685 Batters Faced, a 4.02 ERA and a 1.468 WHIP.

During the offseason, he would work at Westgate Appliances in Wyandotte, MI. He is still currently a resident of Wyandotte. A baseball field in Pulaski Park in Wyandotte is named after him.
