The last track on disc 2 "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" by Dusty Springfield was added as a tribute to Springfield who died a few weeks before Now 42 was released.
Now 42 has eight songs that reached number one on the UK Singles Charts (nine if you count You Don't Have to Say You Love Me). They are "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going", "Believe", "Goodbye", "Fly Away", "Praise You", "You Don't Know Me", "Flat Beat" and "A Little Bit More".
Steps, Tina Cousins and Billie appear both on their own tracks and on Thank ABBA for the Music.
