(1998)Now That's What I Call Music! 39 or Now 39 was released in 1998 on audio cassette and Compact Disc. The album is the 39th edition of the Now! series in the United Kingdom. Now 39 has five songs that topped the charts in the UK. They are "Never Ever", "Perfect Day", "Brimful of Asha" "It's Like That" and "Barbie Girl".
This album has a double appearance from Robbie Williams. Cerys Matthews also has a double appearance. One as a featured artist on Space's single The Ballad of Tom Jones and the other as a member of Catatonia. Norman Cook has a double remix appearence, first with Cornershop's "Brimful of Asha" and then shortly after with Wildchild's "Renegade Master". Several acts also have a double appearance due to the inclusion of "Perfect Day".
