(1998)Now That's What I Call Music! 38 or Now 38 was released on 17 November 1997 on audio cassette and Compact Disc. The album is the 38th edition of the (UK) Now! series. Two of the tracks, "Spice Up Your Life" and "The Drugs Don't Work", reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.
The Hot Chocolate song "You Sexy Thing" also appeared on Now 9 from 1987.
Two songs from the film Bean are included, they are Boyzone's "Picture of You" and Wet Wet Wet's cover of "Yesterday" (which was originally sung by the Beatles).
