The 41st Ontario general election is tentatively scheduled to be held on October 1, 2015. Under amendments passed by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 2004, Ontario elections are now held on fixed dates: the first Thursday of October every four years. Unless the 40th Legislative Assembly of Ontario is dissolved earlier by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario due to a motion of no confidence.

It will elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The Ontario Liberal Party formed a minority government in the 2011 election, with the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario serving as the Official Opposition, and the Ontario New Democratic Party serving as a third party.
