The 2006 Minnesota state auditor election took place on November 7, 2006. Incumbent Republican State Auditor of Minnesota Patricia Anderson was defeated by former State Rep. Rebecca Otto of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Independence Party candidate Lucy Gerold finished third.[1]
