As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 126 Mahua (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Mahua and Chehara Kala community development blocks.[1]
Mahua (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 21 Hajipur (Lok Sabha constituency) (SC).[1]
Results
1977-2010
In the 2010 state assembly elections, Ravindra Ray of JD(U) won the Mahua seat defeating his nearest rival Jageshwar Ray of RJD.[2] Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Shiv Chand Ram of RJD defeated Dasai Choudhury of JD(U) in October 2005 and Meena Devi of LJP in February 2005. Dasai Choudhury of RJD defeated Munshi Lal Paswan of JD(U) in 2000. Munshi Lal Paswan of JD defeated Kapileshwar Ram Keshri representing SAP in 1995 and representing Congress in 1990. Dasai Choudhury of LD defeated Kapileshwar Ram Keshri of Congress in 1985. Dasai Choudhuri of Janata Party (Secular – Charan Singh) defeated Saryu Ram of Congress in 1980. Phudeni Prasad of JP defeated defeated Saryu Ram of Congress in 1977.[3]
