Lauria NandanGarh is a village about14 km from Shikarpur and 24 km from
Bettiah in the state ofBihar in northernIndia . Here there are interesting ruins of a hugestupa . It is a 26 metre high ancient brick sepulchralmound thought to be the stupa where the ashes of Lord Buddha were enshrined. [cite web

Ashoka . It is a single block of polishedsandstone over 32 feet (10 m) high. The top is bell shaped with a circularabacus ornamented withBrahmi geese supporting the statue of a lion. [cite web
