List of Magic: The Gathering characters: X

The fictional multiverse of the Wizards of the Coast Magic: The Gathering trading card game, introduced in 1993, has many characters. This alphabetic list includes characters to which the flavor text on the cards is atributted or who are mentioned in it, along with those referred in related games, novels, comics or short stories.

Xantcha

A Phyrexian construct who was almost executed by her kin for failing to realize her full potential. With assistance of Xantcha, Urza was able to planeswalk to Phyrexia. In turn, he helped her recover her personality matrix, or "heart", from Yawgmoth. When Urza was becoming increasingly obsessed and guilt ridden over his role in his brother's death, Xantcha brought Ratepe, posing as Mishra, in the hope of alleviating some of his guilt and allowing him to focus on defeating the Phyrexians. Ratepe eventually became Xantcha's lover. Both sacrificed themselves when Urza fought the Phyrexian Demon Gix in Koilos. Urza later gives Xantcha’s heart to Karn.

Xira Arien

An Eumidian (humanoid wasp) agent under the command of Lord Dark. She is exceptional assassin with high agility, ability to inject lethal venom and camouphage, as well as her sadistic glee. At last she is hunted down by Tetsuo Umezawa in the revenge for his apprentice's death. Xira is also obsessive in dressing with colorful costumes.
