List of Magic: The Gathering characters: Q

The fictional multiverse of the Wizards of the Coast Magic: The Gathering trading card game, introduced in 1993, has many characters. This alphabetic list includes characters to which the flavor text on the cards is atributted or who are mentioned in it, along with those referred in related games, novels, comics or short stories.

Qalhata

A Zhalfir commander who leads the army against Femeref. She is the lineage of the great wizard Gazali.

Qhattib

Vizier of Amiqat. Antagonist of Telim’Tor. Killed by Hilel the Breathstealer, after the end of the Jam War. (Mirage, Duelist Online)

Qadir

The Qadir refers to the ruling figure of the Suwwardi in ancient Terisiare during the Brothers War. Among the Fallaji desert tribes of Terisaire the Suwwardi was perhaps most famous and powerful during said era. Mishra was the Raki (Wizard) of the Suwwardi during the era, as well as the real power behind the throne with his dragon engines. There were two native Qadirs of the same dynasty during the Brothers War. Neither Qadir is named in the story. The second Qadir, son of the first, was killed in the invasion of Kroog by Ashnod when he attempted to assassinate Tawnos, Kayla and Ashnod . Following his death, Mishra was made Qadir of the Suwwardi (and thus the Fallaji, as the Suwwardi was the leading influence at that time) by acclaimation. The Suwwardi (and thus the title and concept of Qadir) became extinct immediately or shortly after the Brothers War, as referenced by Urza's great-great-great-grandson Jodah during the Dark Age that "there had not been any Fallji for hundreds of years".
