It's Classy, Not Classic is the debut studio album by American electronic rock duo, Breathe Carolina. It was released on September 16, 2008 through Rise Records and peaked at #186 on the Billboard 200 and #6 on the Heatseekers Chart the following week.^[1] The album spawned one single, "Diamonds".

Background

All of the album's tracks were recorded in David and Kyle's bedroom using Apple Inc's program GarageBand in Denver, Colorado.^[2] It contains all of the tracks from their previous extended play, Gossip EP, with the exception of "Don't Forget: Lock the Door" and their cover of U2's "With or Without You", which were eventually included on the deluxe edition of their second studio album Hello Fascination.^[3] The track "Snowed In" was not included on the album as well. The duo's first song to be recorded, "Put Some Clothes On", was included as a hidden track.

Release

The album was released on September 16, 2008 through Rise Records. It peaked at number 186 on the Billboard 200, number 6 on the Heatseekers Chart, and number 5 on the Dance/Electronic Chart.^[4]

A music video directed by Robby Starbuck was released for the track "Diamonds" in 2008,^[5] and features appearances by Millionaires and Josh White from Umbrella Clothing and This City Is Burning Records.
