County Timiş County Population (2002)[1] 4,799 Time zone EET (UTC+2) – Summer (DST) EEST (UTC+3) Cenei (German: Tschene; Hungarian: Csene; Croatian: Hrvatski Čenej; Serbian: Ченеј) is a commune in Timiş County, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Bobda (German: Bobda; Hungarian: Papd; Serbian: Бобда) and Cenei. It also included Checea village until 2004, when it was split off to form a separate commune.
At the 2002 census, 63.6% of inhabitants were Romanians, 12.2% Serbs, 11.9% Roma, 9.1% Hungarians, 1.7% Banat Swabians and 1.4% Croats. 82.6% were Romanian and Serbian Orthodox, 13.2% Roman Catholic, 1.5% Pentecostal, 0.8% Baptist and 0.5% each Reformed and Greek-Catholic.
