Montfort-sur-Meu (Breton: Moñforzh) is a commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department of Brittany in north-western France.
It is noted as the birthplace of the well known author and Roman Catholic Saint Louis de Montfort, who is considered the pioneer of the field of Mariology. The saint's birthplace is at No 15, Rue de la Saulnerie in Montfort-sur-Meu. It is now jointly owned by the three Montfortian congregations he formed: the Montfort Missionaries, the Daughters of Wisdom and the Brothers of Saint Gabriel.
