One Story is a literary magazine which publishes 18 issues a year, each issue containing a single short story. The magazine was founded in 2002 by writers Hannah Tinti and Maribeth Batcha. [1]

Contributors

The magazine has published authors such as Andrea Barrett, Matt Clark, Stephen Dixon, John Hodgman, Kelly Link, and Scott Snyder; Snyder received a two-book deal with Dial Press as a result of his publication in One Story.[1]

Other Awards

Stories published in One Story have appeared in The Best American Short Stories and the O. Henry Prize anthology.
