Christine "Tuffy" Hough (born October 9, 1969 in Renfrew, Ontario) is a retired Canadian pair skater. With partner Doug Ladret, she won the 1988 Canadian Figure Skating Championships.

Career
Hough received her nickname Tuffy, from her stepfather because she did daring skating moves. She competed early in her career with Kevin Wheeler, winning the 1982 novice title.
Later, she teamed up with Ladret, and in 1985 they won the bronze medal at Canadian nationals. Their best season was 1987-8, when they won the national title as well as Skate Canada International. The pair competed in the Winter Olympics twice, in 1988 and 1992, finishing in the top ten both times.[1] They retired following the 1992 season.
Hough and Ladret appeared as skaters in the 1992 movie The Cutting Edge.[2] and spent four years touring with Stars on Ice.[3] Following a 13-year hiatus from skating, Hough-Sweeney took part in two seasons of Battle of the Blades, paired with Tie Domi in season 1 and Russ Courtnall in season 2.[4]
Personal Life
Hough is married to former Boston Bruins hockey player Don Sweeney. On April 25, 1999 she gave birth to twin boys, Jarred and Tyler. She currently works as a coach at the Skating Club of Boston. She and her family live in Boston.
