Sclater, 1857The Chestnut-tailed Antbird (Myrmeciza hemimelaena), also known as the Southern Chestnut-tailed Antbird, is a species of bird in the Thamnophilidae family. It is found in the Amazon Rainforest in far southern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru, northern Bolivia, and western and central Brazil. In the past it sometimes included the Zimmer's Antbird as a subspecies.
