Hăghig (Hungarian: Hídvég, Hungarian pronunciation: [’hiːdveːɡ]) is a commune in Covasna County, Romania composed of two villages:

  • Hăghig
  • Iarăş / Nyáraspatak

Demographics

The commune has an ethnically mixed population. According to the 2002 Census it has a population of 2,223 of which 39.18% or 871 are Romanians, 31.08% or 691 are Székely Hungarians and 29.51% or 656 are Roma.
