Chattahoochee River and enters Georgia, the route continues as Georgia State Route 62.Route description
State Route 52 serves as a parallel route of U.S. Highway 84. Beginning at Opp, State Route 52 assumes a southeastward trajectory as it leads towards Samson in western Geneva County. At Slocomb, the route briefly turns to the east before resuming its southeastward trajectory as it approaches the town of Geneva.
East of Geneva, State Route 52 assumes a slight northeastward trajectory. It passes through Hartford, the birthplace of
Baseball Hall of Fame memberEarly Wynn , then continues through Slocomb as it leads towards Dothan, the largest city ofAlabama ’sWiregrass Region .State Route 52 has junctions with three
U.S. Highway s at Dothan. On the city’s west side, the route junctions U.S. Highway 231. On the east side of Dothan, State Route 52 junctions U.S. Highways 84 and 431. All three U.S. Highways are aligned alongRoss Clark Circle , a circumferential bypass of Dothan.
