-
Darryll Paul Holland (born 14 June 1972 in Manchester, England) is a United Kingdom flat racing jockey who has ridden for trainers such as Luca Cumani, Geoff Wragg, and Mark Johnston.
In 1991 he was the British Champion Apprentice and won the Lester Award for Apprentice Jockey of the Year.
Darryll was nicknamed "Dazzler" in his younger, flashier days.
The best ride he had for the Epsom Derby was on Blues Traveller in 1993. It was a 150-1 shot and he finished third at his first Derby.
Pat Eddery is his long term idol.
Holland has bags of ambition and stamina and has gradually emerged to be one of the UK's leading jockeys. He married Jacque on 16 September 2001.
