Yorkshire Oaks

The Yorkshire Oaks is a Group 1 flat horse race in the United Kingdom open to thoroughbred fillies and mares which are three-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs (2,414 metres) at York Racecourse, and it takes place annually during the Ebor Festival meeting in August. It was first run in 1849, and it was restricted to three-year-old fillies only before 1991.

The 2008 running was transferred to the July Course at Newmarket, after waterlogging at the York track.
