Geography
Dupchanchia is located at 24°52′30″N 89°10′10″E / 24.8750°N 89.1694°E . It has 29153 units of house hold and a total area 162.45 km² (approximately). Dupchanchia (Town) has an area of 4.93 km² for the municipality.Dupchanchia pourashava mayor is md: jahangir alom. Hi is the political leader of B.N.P
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Dupchanchia has a population of 149112. Males constitute are 50.77% of the population, and females 49.23%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 76561. Dupchanchia has an average literacy rate of 29.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]

Dupchanchia is one of the biggest thana of Bogra. Dupchanchia Municipality was established in 2000. It has 9 wards and 38 mahallas. Literacy rate among the town people is 43.3%.It has 6 Unions/Wards, 115 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 230 villages.
